INSPIRATION

Traditional Palestinian Costume by Hanan Karaman Munayyer

Watercolor image depicts a pattern found on the qabbeh (chest panel) of the “malak” dress also known as royal -  worn in Lifta. This panel is distinct in its type of stitch called tahiri -  originating in the towns of Bethlehem and Beit Jala. The design of multiple squares, with the center square filled with a circular motif in the middle.

We are not interested in making products for the sake of making more things that no one needs in a world filled with unnecessary excess and waste.
